IT'S SCANDINAVIAN TIME!!!!

It's really quite amazing that so many come to little 'ol Junction City for the Scandinavian Festival. In its 46th? year, I've heard that over 100,000 people come through each year. Mama visited yesterday quite a bit plus I stopped by twice - an afternoon show with a former student in it, then for a Ukrainian dance group (from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!) that was real good. They do some amazingly intricate and athletic dances! There also was a play of sorts (put on by local young people) based on 'The Emperor's New Clothes' - some fun, but somewhere less than the quality I've gotten used to at Kim's plays . . . Grandma, Bruce, Megan, and Caleb were at the Festival last evening, also. Looking forward to some of the family stopping in to be a part of the fun this weekend. Wish Singapore weren't so far away!!!

I'm starting to 'gear up' for a new school year, hoping this one will be full of purpose and fulfillment in the lives of the students. Installed an air conditioner in my classroom yesterday, may do some sorting of stuff later today. No tractor work for awhile - perhaps after the 20th . . .

Guess that's it for now. Have a great end of summer! God's blessings to you
