Special people

For your viewing pleasure, here are some random, but good pictures.
First is Beth with her sweet little girl, Katie. She IS a Mama's girl, and wants to be near her at all times.

Now here is a great picture of Tim and Heather's little boy, Beniah. Isn't he adorable?!!

In this picture, Aaron seems deep in thought. He was trying to be patient with all the adults who were starting a disc golf game. He really wanted to get to the playground. We didn't make him wait for too long.

Fourth of July Fun

I'm exactly a month late posting this, but wanted to share these pictures with you. On theThird of July the family gathered at Beth's house for a fun day, ended with Oregon approved fireworks... (not very exciting fireworks, but still a lot of fun).

Here is Jim with his two sons, Danny and Timmy.

M-m-m-m! S'mores!! Here are Betsy and Aaron with theirs. This was Aaron's first time to have them. He wasn't too sure about the mess...
Jack didn't seem to mind it quite as much. In the end, they both enjoyed the yumminess of them! (and so did I, but hopefully I didn't get as messy!!)

Sparklers! They are such a delightful, if short-lived, thing! Here is Aaron enjoying doing one with his Daddy Danny.

Family Times

We had some good times with family this summer while Danny, Betsy and Aaron were visiting from Singapore. This first picture is of Aaron pretending to take a nap....

Some of the Kjosness family visited one day. Here is Timmy's little Beniah with his second cousins, Tobias and David. They were very cute together.

The Whittaker family visited another day. Here is Beth's son Jack with his 2nd cousin, Sammy Jo.

Beth's little Katie enjoyed the old Fisher Price castle -- especially dropping the people into the dungeon!

Aaron also enjoyed the old bowling set. Our deck is the perfect place for bowling, but the bowling pins found their way down into the flower bed below more than one time!

Donny likes Auntie Jo's sunglasses, too! ... and did you notice he still lives with his parents? Can you imagine that?!

Whittaker Beach trip

I promised more picture, and am finally getting some on here. As I mentioned in an earlier post, we had a great family beach trip. This first picture is of the whole family -- all of our kids and grandkids together in one place. Fun!

This is a fun picture of little Donny. He stayed in this position, enjoying an interesting viewpoint of all of us for several minutes. He gave us an interesting view, too!

We love being grandparents!!

We just had the most wonderful beach trip with our family -- all of our kids and their families! 3 days and 2 nights of fun and chaos, laughter and sleeplessness, silliness and love!! The weather was beautiful, so we were able to enjoy being outside, but we also had two great houses to use while we were there -- all 19 of us.

Here we are with our grandchildren -- a rare photo opportunity since one of them lives in Singapore. Most of the family hasn't seen Aaron since he was 4 months old, and after he and his mom and dad go back home, it will be a long time again. How fun it has been to get to spend time with him and get to know him.

All of these little ones are so precious, and we are enjoying each of them. From left to right, there is Beniah (Timmy's) -- 7 months old; Donny (Kim's) -- 24 months old; Evie (Kim's) -- 2.5 months old; Katie (Beth's) 17 months old; Jack (Beth's) -- 3 yrs, 6 mo; Aaron (Danny's) 3 yrs, 4 mo.

Home Sweet Home --- finally!

We are happy to say that we are finally in our new home!! After being told the closing date would be March 27, it didn't really finalize so that we could move in until April 15. We had moved out of our apartment on March 31, and camped out at Kim's house for the interim period.
Here are some pictures that will show you a little of what we're enjoying:

We still have hundreds of boxes in the garage to be sorted and settled where they belong (some to go away forever we hope! We have too much stuff!!) But the house itself seems fairly settled and is ready for company. So do come!!

Timmy and his wife Heather and little Beniah are living in the daylight basement for the next year or two, and they, too are working on getting settled.

I just want to say that it's nice to finally have a home again!
